Chapter 38 by BelleHades BelleHades

How does Amy's mom react?

"Yaassssss!"

Amy just sat there, in the basement, on the sofa, dumbfounded at her mother's glee. She was honestly expecting some negative reaction. Instead, Shea's reaction was nothing short of embrace and acceptance. Or, at least Amy hoped.

"Amy, you know what this means, right?"

Amy slowly shook her head.

"Eternal youth, baby!" Shea began to dance around a bit.

Amy sighed. She loved her mom, but just wished Shea would think of others more regularly. Amy started to facepalm when Shea noticed her daughter's reaction. Obviously Shea still had a ways to go before learning more awareness and consideration. She immediately quit dancing around and sat next to Amy.

"Honey, I'm sorry. I was referring to just more than that," Shea spoke softly, trying to allay Amy's anxiety. "I mean, yeah I was talking about material bullshit like eternal youth, but, not just for me. Like, we all can stay young forever, not just you and me."

Amy smiled. She mentally applauded her mother's efforts at seeming less narcissistic, but there was still quite a ways to go.

"There's also our neighbors, mama. Obviouy they can't find out about this."

"True." Shea sulked. They both knew someone like Amy will become increasingly less welcome here in the States, as some more and more people across the world slowly adopt Plutonianism.

"At this point, we're gonna have to move, eventually." Amy continued. The Plutonian Empire might as well become their permanent home, since Amy now demonstrates visual magic powers.

Shea and Amy chatted for another hour before they both retired for the night.

Amy's new adventures...
