Narrowly

"Did you enjoy your day out with your big sisters?" erin asked kyle.

"Yup. But kara wouldn't let me buy this game I wanted."

"What?!" you freak out, why was he using that name? "Why did you call me kara?"

"Erin said it's your name when you're dressed like that. Cause a what you told that guy."

Stunned you have no idea how to respond when erin interjects "But you know ONLY when she's dressed like this otherwise we call her what?"

" John!"

"That's my man!" she slaps kyle a high five. "See he's got it." she smiled at you. "What made you choose that name anyway?"

"I panicked and all I could think about what supergirl's secret identity."

"But isn't that carol?"

"No it's kara."

"No her birth name is kara zor-el. Her earth name was carol." kyle spoke up from the backseat.

"Oh."

"Well I think it's pretty anyway." She patted your hand. You decided to turn on the radio and listen to some music. Of course it was some girly pop song by katy perry. "Oh my god I love this song!" erin shouted excitedly and started singing along. When she saw you weren't singing she shoved you. "Come on sis! Sing with me." she begged. You relented and started singing along.

Thankfully you make it home before your parents but see them pulling onto your street as you reach the door. Quickly you run inside and up the stairs to the bathroom and strip as quickly as you can. And fill up the tub. You hear a knock at the door and practically jump in the tub. "Sweetie? It's mom. I wanted to see how you were doing."

"I'm uh feeling much better."

"So the spa day helped?"

"Yes mam.

"Good, maybe I'll let your sister give me one some time."

"I'm sure you'd love it. I know I did." [I guess I did all in all.]

"Okay sweetie, I'm going to start dinner so don't be long."

"Thanks mom."

You close your eyes and let the warm water sooth you unto slumber while your phone played chainsmokers' closer. You drift off and find your mind pulled towards tom once more. How sweet he was to you and how comforting when you needed him. [He's right though. A rose can still be bad ass. I mean it has thorns and stuff. Thorns to make you bleed!] When you're suddenly awakened by your nose dipping below the water line you realize you didn't even take off your breasts you had gotten so used to them. Part of you wondered what it would be like if they were real. [No that's stupid.]

You decide to leave the tub before you risk further drowning and return to your room. You think about returning your breast forms to your sister but think better of it, you might still need them for your date you hadn't decided yet. Besides your mom might see you. You dress and find yourself missing the weight on your chest more than you imagined you would.

Once you're dressed you stand before erin's room struggling to find the words. You turn to leave several times before finally just knocking on her door. "Come in."

Inside erin is texting someone, normally she would throw something at you and yell at you to leave, but this time she stops texting and smiles at you. "Kara."

"Hey not when I'm dressed like this."

"Then you might want to wash the makeup off your face."

You look in her vanity mirror and see she's telling the truth your makeup is still on. "Oh, I thought I washed it off."

"No sweetie, that's waterproof. You need something a bit stronger than water to wash it off. Come here." She sits you in her chair once more this time taking small paper towels and squirting something into it before wiping it on your face. "Did you want something?"

"Yesh I wanded." she rubs your cheeks quickly pausing for a moment so you can speak. "I wanted to say I'm sorry I overreacted but you understand why I did right?"

She resumed scrubbing your cheeks. "I think I do. I got caught up playing with my sister is all."

Normally being called her sister was insulting to you but now it felt right. [Right?] "Yeah I understand that. Look if you promise to erase the evidence and promise never to do something like that again I promise it wont be the last time you get to hang out with kara. Okay?"

"But how am I going to get you to do stuff?"

"You could try and convince me like any sister would have to do. Come on do we have a deal?"

She thought for a moment scrubbing your forehead and eyes. "Okay deal." You both smiled and hugged. Both of you glad to have the sister back that you remembered. "Well you're all clean sis."

Looking in the mirror you confirmed your face was indeed clean and hugged her again. "Thanks sis." Just in time too because at that very moment your mother walked in announcing dinner.

"Oh I love seeing my kids getting along." she joined in on your hug. After a minute she breaks the hug. "Come on, dinner's ready."

Dinner went better than normal thanks to erin's change in attitude. Kyle thankfully said nothing about your dress while he recounted today's events. His main focus was on the arcade and how much he enjoyed hanging out with tom. "Oh so tom went with you?" your dad asked.

"No we just, he happened to be at the mall so we hung out together for awhile." You weren't any better than kyle when it came to lying it seemed but your dad accepted your answer without question.
