Chapter 7
by Symphony
"Who are you?"
A stranger appears
Sanne stared at the uninvited guest before her, her shoulder length chocolate curls blew with the breeze. It looked like a scene from a movie. She tossed her cigarette out of the balcony and sat on the fence in a more proper way, those long legs of hers crossed. Arthur cleared his throat and regained his senses, to her relief. His staring eyes began to creep her out. "My name is Arthur Campbell, I'm an English detective. I was told you are related to Herbert Wansch." She remained silent and expressionless. "I don't know what you're talking about." She finally said and turned her head away - The sound of a gun loading caused her to look back, his gun was pointed directly at her. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way..." He said. "Do your worst." She replied in perfect English, unlike him and his heavy accented German. His guard broke. She couldn't help but smile lightly. Quickly regaining himself, he stepped forward and pressed the gun to her head, his heart racing in his chest. "Please, my lady. I don't want to harm you." He said in a much gentler tone, now in English. "You wouldn't have said that if I were a man." She taunted.
"Fine, I'll come along quietly."
Sanne sat in the back of a cab next to the 'detective' in silence. She thought detectives were better than that... A cab? Really? He appeared self conscious about it as well, she couldn't help but find that... Cute. Her brown eyes turned to him. He was playing with his fingers as if trying to cease frustration, which he most likely was. The woman sighed out and leaned back against the car seat turning her head opposite of him to look out the window.
She could feel the English man's eyes on her.
Eventually, the cab stopped and the driver turned to face the two of them.
"We're here."
