The road trip is winding up

"You sad it's gonna be over?" Bernie asked.

Gary let out a long, slow breath, watching the steam rise off the hot spring pool. "Maybe a little," he said. He looked at Bernie, wearing the thick braids tied with red cloth that Nana had done up for her. "How about you?"

Bernie laughed. The water rippled round her heavy breasts. "I'm ready for some quiet time to take it all in," she said. "Just me and you for a while." She smiled and licked her lips.

"You gonna miss, well, Nana? And the other women?" Gary asked.

But there was always some part of it about having a relationship, or if the sex was good we were gonna have a relationship, or it meant we were seriously in love. And I loved that. Bernie smiled. "You're pretty low-drama," she said. "A few surprises, but still, having you as a boyfriend is a lot easier than having any of my girlfriends. You're surprisingly trainable."

Gary laughed. "Thanks?" he said.

Bernie laughed. She said, "Yeah, so anyway, this trip, it's been totally the other way. Instead of looking for a girlfriend, it's been more like 'would she be fun to hook up with?' And after you kept telling me and showing me that it was okay with you, well, I just didn't hold back. I had sex with a lot of women I wouldn't have even thought to talk to, if I was thinking about love or dating."

"I loved watching you with other women," Gary said. "Thank you for letting me see."

Bernie smiled. "I love it when you watch me," she said. "It feels good that you want me to." She took a breath. "But this trip really reminded me of how much I miss, well, how much I miss Habiba, really." She sighed.

Gary clasped her hand. "Yeah," he said. "Thank you for showing me, you know. With Nana. Letting me do it to her with you together."

"That's been wonderful," Bernie said. "I want to do it as much as we can, before the trip is over. Licking her together."

"Yeah. Making her come," Gary said. "Bernie." He bent closer as they sat together in the warm pool.

"Yes," she said. She tilted her head to his and they kissed, their lips parting to curl their tongues together. "Let's go find her."

Hand in hand, they rose dripping from the hot pool, picked up their towels, and went to look for Gary's grandmother.
