Chapter 2
by Lyingbastard
Where do you go first?
To the Throne Chamber to see Lana
He tells Theron he'll see him later, and heads for the smaller elevator exclusively used to go to the Throne Chamber.
As always, he was taken aback by the splendor of the Throne Chamber, the massive sophisticated device that serves as The Eternal Throne, allowing the ruler to monitor and command dozens of fleets across the galaxy at once. It gave the ruler unparalleled power at his, or her, command. Planets could be bombarded at a whim, spacelanes constricted, fleets ambushed, all with little more than a thought. Valkorian, Arcann, and Vaylin had all used it to spread destruction and misery. Valkorian was dead by The Outlander's hand, though his spirit had lingered in the ****, waiting for the Outlander to defeat his enemies before he attempted to hijack his body. Arcann, his son and successor, had been the Outlander's nemesis for more than a year of bloody conflict. At the end, the Outlander had defeated him, with his mother, Senya, rescuing him from annihilation as his flagship burned in the space over Odessen. Vaylin, in turn, had succeeded Arcann, and during the fight against Vaylin, Arcann had been purified of the Dark Side and joined the Alliance in an attempt to redeem himself. He had fought at the Outlander's side against his sister Vaylin, and during the battle, Valkorian had absorbed Vaylin's power, killing her body and taking her essence into himself. When he had tried the same against the Outlander, however, he unleashed Vaylin's soul from his grasp, and she, Arcann, and Lord Dramath - Valkorian's father, whom he had sealed in a holocron - together destroyed The Eternal Emperor Valkorian once and for all. Sometimes he still felt Vaylin's presence nearby him, though without the psychotic rage that had consumed her in life. Like she was watching him with interest.
The Throne was his, now, though, and he was using its might to try and restore what had been lost. Sitting in the Throne was someone he considered to be an even better choice for it - Lana Beniko. A Sith Lord, former head of Sith Intelligence, Lana was unusual in that she was pragmatic instead of wantonly aggressive, and she had been the instigator of the Alliance, rescuing the Outlander from carbonite imprisonment. Though she seemed standoffish and arrogant, the Outlander knew her better than that. Much better. She raised her head and smiled upon seeing him. "So, you're still alive. No flowers after being gone for almost a month?"
"You hate flowers. But I got something better. One of those pirate vessels had been looting artifacts from ancient Sarkhai ruins. I returned most of them, but I kept this for you."
What did he save to give to Lana?
