No harm in a little chat [Ending B]

Tentatively you walk over and sit down next to her.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to bite," she laughs. "Unless you want me to of course! Haha, only joking."

You smile nervously.

"I just wanted to have a little chat. Ask how things are going with Clairy."

"Um... great. She's great. I think... I really like her."

"Lovely. You two look good together. So it's a serious relationship you would say?"

"Yeah... sure."

"No problems? Everything is fine?"

"...Yeah."

"You don't sound so certain."

"What? No, I'm certain."

"Jack..." she begins more earnestly

This doesn't sound good.

"There's something you should bear in mind."

"It's fine, we're not... We're taking things slowly."

"Yes I know, the walls in this house are very thin. You see I couldn't help hearing your conversation earlier..."

"Oh..."

"Yes. So if there is anything you want to talk to me about I'm a good experienced listener if you know what I mean. I may be older, but back in my day I certainly had my fun, so you don't have to be shy with me."

"I see... but..."

"No buts, come on, out with it. Tell Mirry and maybe I can help you out."
