Entering the Tram Station
The Tram
Once Marie was able to unlock the door, the tram station opened up to her quickly. She made sure to enter in quickly and quietly, locking the door behind her. She was not sure if these creatures could use doors, and did not want to be surprised from behind. Taking a deep breath in, Marie's legs finally buckled from all of the terror, anxiety and fatigue that had settled in. Sliding against the nearest wall, Marie started to cry, small tears falling from her eyes. This whole day had gone to shit in a hurry, and it was growing more and more obvious that it would only get worse from here.
Suddenly her inner suit communications crackled to life, waking Marie from her stupor. "Marie?! Are you there?!" Captain Samson's voice echoed through the empty tram station, and it was heaven to Marie's ears. Activating her suit's comms, she could only muster a small whimper. The captain sighed himself and thanked the Lord above. "Are you alright? We saw you turn back the other way before the door shut." Marie nodded and then finally responded, her voice coming out with a slight crack. "I am okay. I am at the tram station."
The captain was off-mic for a short time, apparently shushing the other crew members. Until he returned, Marie stayed low to the ground, holding her communicator close to her body. Her heart was still beating harder then ever and her mouth was inexplicably dry, but she was still alive. Once the captain returned on mic, he had grave news.
"The creature followed us into the hanger. We were able to finally kill it, but not before it damaged the shuttle. We have no way off of this ship Marie." The news was grave indeed, and Marie swallowed hard. This ship was a nightmare of metal and steel, and now, there was no way to leave. Responding after fully digesting the news, Marie responded. "Is there anyway to fix it?"
The captain was quiet, as if he were listening to someone else talk. He eventually responded after a short time of silence. "Nicholas believes it can be salvaged, but we are missing some key parts. Plus, we will need you to help put it all together. Nicholas can only do so much."
Marie nodded and started to stand. Her legs were still tired and fatigued, but she was not willing to die here. Taking a deep breath, she calmly questioned the first part. "What is needed first? I am at the station and the tram seems to be functioning for the most part."
Moving towards the command terminal, Marie checked the tram's power and its destinations. Most of the trackline was unpowered, with auxiliary power only running essential locations. These included the Medical deck and the Reactor Core. Relaying this information to the Captain, Samson replied with a matter-of-fact tone. "We need you to repair the reactor first and foremost, but you will need a RIG for that. Are there any suits near you?"
Marie looked around the station itself. RIGs were usually easily found in living quarters or the medical deck and she could see none around her currently. Before she could turn on the primary power again, she would need a rig. The radiation from the core itself would be too much for her in her shirt and work pants. Relaying this information as well, she signed off comms and started tapping into the trams controls.
She was headed towards the medical deck, where her sister worked. She hadn't even thought about her sister at this point, who had been serving on the ship a couple of days prior to all of this. Was she still alive? Only time would tell. Accessing the destination controls, Marie input the medical deck and waited for the tram to orient itself properly.
Suddenly, a loud bang could be heard from the left. A ventilation shaft nearby exploded with metal and flesh. Another creature, this one incredibly different from the last, burst forth from the darkness. Marie shrieked in surprise and horror, the smell instantly flooding the room. This monster was much different, with its lower half completely missing. Instead of strong legs, the bottom of this creature was formed into a long tail-like appendage. Its lower jaw was completely missing, its tongue still attached.
Underneath its tail, a long cock protruded out of a sheath in its body. It was long and thin, not like the bulbous cock Marie had seen earlier. Trying her hardest not to scream, Marie looked at the tram doors, noticing they were not quite open yet. The tram was still aligning itself on the track! The creature was stalking Marie now, shifting on its upper arms. It looked ready to pounce!
With a leap, the creature jumps towards Marie! She has to roll out of the way before it lands on her! Which direction does she roll?
Left or Right to roll out of the way of the Leaper?
