Not wanting to leave her out, Sam moves to the bedroom door and knocks quietly, receiving no response. Nervously he opens the bedroom door and slowly pokes his head inside. "Um, I just wanted to let you know that lunch is ready."
There is no reply, but Sam suddenly spots Emma sat on the end of the bed, tears running down her face, her new dress in her hands.
"Are.... are you okay?" Sam asks nervously, taking a single step into the room. "Mike said you had a headache."
Silently Emma turns to face him, holding up the fabric in her hands and revealing it has been torn completely in two. "Mike didn't like it," she says flatly.
