Chapter 6 by amalgam amalgam

It's not a telemarketer, is it?

As a matter of fact, it is.

Randy grew frustrated as his repeated attempts to phone Anna were met with busy signals. Little did he know that a pushy telemarketer had inadvertently snuck in on the flustered Randy's experiment.

"...won a free shopping spree! All you have to do is give me your name and address and your credit card number and you'll be on your way!"

Anna dutifully did as was suggested to her, unflinchingly providing sensitive data to the overjoyed salesperson.

"Would you also like to subscribe to The Word (local newspaper) for six months? Two years?
"And switch your phone company to WPC?
"And enter to win another shopping spree by paying a nominal fee of..."

Randy knew there could be trouble if Anna was talking to someone besides him. Thinking quickly, he took off from his apartment and raced over to Anna's place, where he knocked vehemently on her door until she heard his demands to open the door.

"Hello? Hello?" The overeager telemarketer called, his salespitch interrupted by Randy's arrival. Anna left the headpiece dangling by its cord as she went to open the door for Randy.

He barged in as soon as Anna turned the knob. Looking around expectantly, he saw only the phone off its hook.

"Hello? Hello? Miss, are you still there?" said the voice through the headset speaker. Randy promptly hung up the phone and turned to Anna.

What does he do with her now?
