"I'm good," you say. "But do you want to head out right away? I'd be down to chill here for a little bit."

Ashley grins, maybe guessing your gameplan. "I'd be happy to stay here," she says. "I don't know how chill we'll be, though." Her pupils are already dilated, huge and locked onto you. She's stroking your arm tenderly.

"Same here," Kate says, more excitable than usual. "Let's do something!" she yells. "I don't want to just sit around, let's do something!"

Her friend laughs at her a little. It seems like Ashley is doing a better job of handling her ****. "What do you want to do, Kate?"
