Mindy falls asleep.

Mindy rested a bit as things have finally settled down from what was a hectic early day. The breathed in slowly and exhaled, practicing the motions to remain as still as possible in order to fool any onlooker of her living status. She was a statue now. It would be easy, all she had to do was lay there motionless. There was no way she could mess this up. The late night and early morning finally caught up to the young maid as she rested on the soft cushy carpet. Her eyes were already closed and she had settled into a comfortable position. Before she was even aware, she was completely wrapped away by the warm gentle embrace of a deep slumber.

When the buxom golden figure finally began to stir again, it was already late afternoon. She blinked and began to rub her eyes before remembering that they were covered in paint. She froze as she realized that she had dozed through the day. What about the exhibit? She slowly peeked around and found the room empty. Either they had not arrived yet or had come and gone. If it was the latter, hopefully they were none the wiser about her little nap. A little disoriented, Mindy wasn't sure what to do now. She was ordered to remain still until Mrs. Winthrop returned for her. Did Mrs. Winthrop come and go as well? What was she supposed to do now? She could be stuck here all night because she missed her cue to exit.

Mindy dared to sneak another peek at the room. It was still empty. If anyone were to step in, she'd just freeze in place. She slowly got up to her feet and slowly stepped over to the doorway. If the coast was clear, she planned to bolt back to the maid quarters, which she could hopefully find her way to, and find out what she had missed. She stopped herself again. She mulled over the possibility that this was a test to see how well she could obey. If she went back to the quarters, it would be obvious she didn't follow instructions, so maybe it would be best to stay put.

Mindy paced in front of the exit nervously as she tried to decide which way to go.
