Stop the Divorce

“I took care of my responsibilities at the hospital as soon as I could!” Dr. Ann Possible said, hurrying into the house. She held up her phone, and said, “Thank you, Wade, for the feed keeping me updated. And thank you for the self-driving car so I could follow the developments.”

“Do you know what has been going on here ever since that woman has entered the house?!” Dr. Jim asked.

“Mom just said she knows, Dad,” Kim stepped on his rhetorical question. “Mom, the house is community property; what have you have to say?”

“In this state, the wife is usually rewarded the house,” Wade said. “So, I'd say, Mrs. Possible has the deciding vote.”

“I don’t plan to go that far in my support of Ron. And I do not believe it will come down to a choice like that.”

“My mind is made up, Ann. I want you to set aside your liberal views and support me, the man of the house.”

“I do like it when you’re manly, James. And I’d like you to set the example of manliness for our two sons. You can’t keep them behind parental control forever. You can’t even do it now. Jim and Tim’s teenage impulses need a father who can help guide them through this turbulent time in their lives. Which means, you, my masterful husband, must show them…” Ann gave him the knowing look, “...how to control their sexual impulses.”

“Kim, I have body-scan data on Dr. J that corroborates what you mom is implying.”

“Wade, Dad is backed into a corner enough as it is.”

“I’m confused,” the blonde target of those impulses said. “How can you prove you’re a man unless you do what a man does with a woman? -Wait! Forget I said that. That’s so Ron, not Veronica.”

“This is one time I agree with Veronica, Ron,” Kim nodded.

“...doctors are used to seeing naked bodies,” James had not given up the argument. “So, are you to suggest we join a nudist colony!”

“If it comes to that.” Ann turned on her wifely charm next. “But it would put a damper on our life as a couple. You’re right, James, seeing too many nudes does get boring.”

“She says it’s okay for me to see nudes!”

“Ron, let Mom finish. I thought Veronica was supposed to control you?”

Ann hoped the mood she was setting for her husband hadn’t been spoiled. “It’s one nude, that special...naked one...that can keep things interesting...and make fantasies Possible.”

“She is good,” three people said, each giving those three words of admiration different meanings.

James was struggling to stand stiff, no, make that firm. “It won’t be many nudes; it will be that quite too special one! I don’t want things getting interesting around here!” He was pointing towards Ron and Kim, but his hand was around his wife’s waist.

Four feet were heard running towards them. “Veronica is special!” Jim, in green, said.

“That’s why she has to stay here!” Tim, in red said.

“If we can resist our impulses with her…”

“...we can resist them with any body!”

“See? It will be a learning experience, a maturing experience,” their mom turn, “For Ron.”

“Me!?!?”

“We’ll see just how much Veronica you have in you, Ron, after being ogled and leered at by…” Kim glanced for the briefest time at her dad, but said, “the Tweebs.”
