A visit to the Professor's house

As you approach the house, you can hear loud bangings within the house. You heard Kukui saying something like "Oh yeah, Rockruff, give it everything you've got, woo! My body is ready!" (I am pretty sure this isn't sexual)

"Oh no, not again," says Lillie, feeling worried, "This Pokemon Research Lab... has its charms, I know. I've only lived with him for three months. I don't feel like much of an assistant, but I think this is how I can pay him back for letting me stay. If I was a Pokemon Trainer, I could be more helpful..."

Just then, you hear a loud boom in the house and some barking. Lillie sighs, "I guess the professor can never stop researching moves, not even in his lab inside. We're gonna have to patch the roof again, and then I'll have to wash and clean his lab coat again. I hope I don't have to mend his clothes, I'm not good at it."

"Let's go in before he does more damage," Lillie says to you. You nod and you both go in.

Surprisingly, the house looks pretty neat, there's not much of a mess inside. "Hey, [insert player name here]," greets Kukui, after petting his Rockruff. "Thanks for getting him, Lillie." Lillie just blushes a bit.

"Aw man, Rockruff's moves were so stylish and I got good progress on the research. [insert player name], let me see your Pokedex for a second." You hand the professor the Pokedex.

"Not bad of a place?" says Kukui, "But that's not why I called you here. I'm here to give it to you."

"It?" asks Lillie.

"Yeah, a Rotom just arrived," says Kukui, "It's a Pokemon with a body made up of something like electricity. It can reside in machines, like this Pokedex. With this new Rotom Pokedex, it's a whole new way to communicate with people and Pokemon, woo!" As Kukui inserts some new parts to your Pokedex, the Rotom that Kukui mentions shows up.

"Hey, sorry about surprising you, Rotom," says Kukui to the Pokemon, "All right, boy, I powered up your favorite Dex! Can you give [insert player name] a Helping Hand?" Rotom screeches and enters your Pokedex. Kukui then hands you back the Pokedex and you hear the Pokedex talking to you: "Hey there, easy on the grip, ok?"

"There you go, now Rotom can talk to you!" says Kukui, "From what I see, this Rotom likes you!"

"So what's the point of this new Pokedex?" asks Lillie.

"Remember, Lillie, [insert player name here] hasn't been in Alola very long," reminds Kukui, "So I gave her this Rotom Dex to help him navigate around. So, remember to check on Rotom every once in a while, he can show you where to go, like a little Town Map." Just then, Hau enters the house.

"Alola," greets Hau, "Whoa, this house is cool. I didn't know you had a loft!" Before he can climb it, Lillie stops him. "That's not a loft! That's private! The professor let me use it..."

"I let her sleep there 'cause I always wanna help people," explains Kukui, "Now anyways, Rotom, take care of [insert player name], yeah?" At this moment, Hau takes a closer look at the Rotom Pokedex and remarks about its cuteness.

"All right before I let you go," says Kukui, "I gotta tell you about the island challenges. Complete them all and you can be the island challenge champion. There are four main islands that make up Alola, and each has its own kahuna. In order to be recognized by the kahunas as worthy to be the island challenge champion, you must clear seven trials. You can do it, I know you can! I saw you do really well in your first Pokemon battle, so you can draw out the Pokemon's strengths."

"All right, before you do the island challenge," says Kukui, "I recommend you go to the Trainers' School to learn the basics of being a Trainer."
