the Pub, Fairy Tail or the Town

The event outside Fairy tail

You start your search outside the famous guild of fairy tail meaning you had to travel by train for a few hours from your hometown to the famous port town of Magnolia. A city full of trade, people from all castes of life and home of the famous fairy tail guild where you would begin your search for new recruits for your own guild.

You arrive in the port town as the morning sun begins to set over the horizon making you wonder if anyone would be outside fairy tail? Still you guess it's still early enough for anyone to turn up at the guild looking for look and so you set off through the winding streets of the large town passing by merchants trying to sell their good in stalls, Mothers and their children taking a stroll or rushing to their next stop on their shopping trip, and, of course, the rune knights that patrol the streets keeping everyone safe from criminals and other evils of this land.

'Hmm I guess I better not get into trouble in this town, seeing as the magic I use is not exactly accepted or seen in good light by the council." You think to yourself casually making your way and sometimes asking for directions to the guild before finally after a few minutes you arrive.

There, a few steps before you stood the guild most mages dream about joining. It had everything you could ever want: power, respect and lots of pretty girls. Sadly you can't help but think how long it would take your own guild to maybe match up to such a guild making it all seem quite impossible. However, while you try to shake the feeling of your dream guild being nothing more than just a dream. Suddenly, from the open doors of the Fairy Tail, a young man comes flying out before tumbling along the stone ground for the street like a human ball only to then stop mere inches from your feet.

"Ah great. I knew I should have kept my thoughts to myself" the grounded young man says in a gruff tone before getting back up on his feet with his back to you. You go to ask him if he's alright however before you can he races back into fairy tail before a yell of fire dragon roar sends him flying out again putting the young man back to face down on the ground.

This time you jump at the chance offering him a hand up which he gladly takes finally giving you a front view of this poor guy that keeps making friends with the floor. He's a good looking young man and seems to be quite well built if his wide shoulder are anything to go by, However, his fashion sense is a bit weird, with him wearing a brown work out vest, dark green jeans and green and white trainers he almost looks as if he escaped from a sports shop.

"Thanks for the help. You don't know how many times I've already met with the ground today" He says giving you a friendly grin before suddenly racing back into the Fairy Tail again!

You have to give the guy credit as he seem to have the determination of an athlete because for the next five minute he flies out the guild not once, twice but three more times before finally a tall red haired woman blocks his path as he tries to go back for a fourth time telling him in a stern tone.

"Enough! You may have the power to stand up against strong foes, however, if you do believe in the power of friendship then there is no place for you in fairy tail."

The power of friendship, yes you did hear most fairy tail mages always say their power and will to fight on come from their friends. But on to more important matter, you recognise the red-haired mage as Erza Scarlet the strongest female mage in fairy tail, a foe no one should take lightly however it seems the young man did not get this message as he begins to argue with her.

"Ah yeah I know that but you can't say friendship wins everything. There are other things like training hard and learning new spells that win battles too! Even you the strongest women in fairy tail must know that right?"

However, Erza does not answer him instead she just shuts the fairy tail guilds front door on him, leaving the young man to let out a depressing sigh as he crosses his arms over his chest.

Seeing this happen to the young man you can't help but feel sorry for him as even if you agree or disagree with his arguments, you could not help but see a young man full of energy and ready to take on the world.

Then it hits you, this young man has to be a mage otherwise why would Erza say there is no place for him in Fairy Tail? They only take mages in so perhaps this young man could your first of many recruits into your guild! The question is, though, do you want such a guy in your guild? And heck what magic did he use? You don't know and is it worth the risk of maybe picking up a mage that can only throw rubber ducks at enemies?

In the end, you know you have a few choices here, you either ask the young man to join straight away, try to get him to sit down and have a chat with you about himself or ignore him completely and move on.

Recruit, Chat or Ignore?
