A son of Apollo

It is said that the children of Apollo are famous for being the brightest of all people. They bring warmth to those around them, always having a sunny disposition. As for powers, they are nothing but helpful. They have the power of medicine, being great healers. They have the power of song, bringing joy to the ears of many. They are not defenseless however, as they also have extraordinary aim with ranged weaponry, mostly the bow. It is said that the greatest archers of all time were at least blessed, if not children of the god Apollo.

You are one of these children. Your name is Matthew. You are a 19 year old male with brown messy hair that looks more like something stereotyped of Ares or Hades. Your body, while having its muscles from working most of your childhood as a stagehand, is still lean, with only enough to hide a six pack.

Many years ago, when you first arrived to camp, you had come here under unsavory terms. The satyr that brought you to camp had died shortly after bringing you due to a poison arrow. If you had left home a few days earlier, you might have been fine. But you mother had a dream that if you ever leaved Camp Half Blood, you would die. You had been so afraid to leave that when you did, Mom told you to never come back.

Since then, you have practiced with your skill as a child of Apollo. You have some basic medical training, although it has never been your strong suit. You can work a bow well, but your weapon of choice has always been throwing knives. One of your major Apollo talents is your voice. You are an amazing singer, and a great musician to boot. Campers often found themselves drawn to listening to you play the sax some lazy summer nights or playing the piano when the weather got cold. Its mainly because of your skills as more of an entertainer that you have been able to stay off any quest, remembering your mothers ominous words. However, that is all about to change. And it all started with... her.
