Send his girlfriend to meet with her

"I want you to send your girlfriend in to talk to me. With your permission, I'll tell her about your problem, and we'll figure out a solution."

"But what if she wants to break up with me?"

"Do you think that she'd prefer to stay with a man who doesn't find her attractive? As long as you don't tell her, she'll make her own assumptions."

"Okay Doc, I hope this works out as well as you plan."

"Me too."

The next day, a young woman came in and walked up to Xavier. "Hi, I'm Gabby, my boyfriend Nathan said that he made an appointment for me?"

Xavier paged Dr. Vierre and got an immediate response. "Go right in."

She walked in, closing the door behind her. "So, Nathan thinks that you can solve the problems with our relationship."

"He does, yes. Have a seat."

She sat, she didn't really trust this therapist, and was worried Nathan was being tricked. "And what do you think that problem is?"

"Why you aren't making Nathan hard anymore, you mean?"

Gabby's temper flared, she had expected something a lot more general, and was hoping that Nathan hadn't talked to her about that. "If you insist."

"Many people find that when something is denied to them, they want it more, and when it is given to them whenever they want, their desire for it lessens."

"Basic psychology." she scoffed, a clear note of tension in her voice. "Are you trying to say that Nathan doesn't like me because I'm too easy?"

"Nathan loves you." Dr. Vierre said, and Gabby felt herself calm down a little, it felt good to hear, even if it wasn't from him. "That's why he wants to solve this problem, so that your relationship can be better."

"So what's your solution, huh? Tell him we can only do it on Saturdays? Have it be a reward?"

"Not bad ideas, Gabby, I do believe that those sorts of arrangements will help, although maybe a little more refined. I'd also recommend allowing me to oversee it. Not literally of course," she added, seeing the look on Gabby's face, "I don't think that's needed, but I'm not sure you'll be able to do it on your own."
