He Goes

Cody stands quivering, staring at his father, his face a mask of rage. His hot eyes glare at you and for a moment you think he's going to attack Mr. Thornhaven. Then, with a sudden shudder, he seems to regain control and strides out of the room. Mr. Thornhaven stares after him, then turns to you with a smile.

"Sorry about that Lisa. You know what young men can be like. Why don't you put your jeans on and I'll drive you home?"

You nod and scramble into your jeans, pushing your feet into your sneakers. You pick up your sweater and start to remove the t-shirt but Mr. Thornhaven stops you.

"Leave that on. I like how it looks on you," he smiles. "Brings back old memories."

You grin at him and bite your lip in mock shyness again, letting your hair fall over your face as you pick up your purse. He's already dressed, and rattles his keys in his hand, then gestures to the door, escorting you to his car and opening door for you before getting in the driver's seat.

"Thank you so much for this Mr. Thornhaven," you say shyly. "You're so kind to me."

"I've waited for this a long time Lisa. You have no idea how many times I thought about you." You bite your lip and look at him shyly, playing up the teenage role as much as you can.

It takes less than a minute for him to drive to your apartment building. He parks in front of it and puts his hand on your thigh.

"Can you walk me in Mr. Thornhaven?" you ask him with wide eyes. "I know I'm being silly, but I'd feel so much safer."

"Of course Lisa, I'll walk you all the way to your bedroom door," he chuckles.
