Call Mom

You reach to pull out your phone, but you realize you left it at home. Shit. You can't ask Andrew, so...

You grab some loose change from the ground and call your Mother using a nearby payphone. It must have been the last one in the world.

She picks up, and asks who it is.

"Hey Mom, it's John. I need a ride."

"Where are you, honey?"

"At Andrew's job site."

"Can't you ask him?"

"No, he's working," you lie, quickly making up a story. "I was gonna job shadow, but the guy wasn't here today. And then I spilled some stuff on my clothes, so now I'm wearing...something weird."

She agrees to pick you up, and 20 minutes later you climb in the passenger seat. She looks over and laughs. "What are you wearing?"

"One of the construction workers is...in a play! Yeah, she's playing a baby, and this is the only clothes they had around."

She doesn't seem to believe you. "Okay...but you are still being punished for leaving the house before your training!

Rule 6: Your name is no longer John from here on out, I will only call you....JoJo. You will only respond to JoJo.

Rule 7: If you are not eating or speaking, you will have a pacifier in your mouth. It will be around your neck whenever you're doing one of these things, too. And, while we're at it, you will wear a bib while you eat."

Well, it's better than you expected. She takes you home so you can change, and then you run and catch the bus to school.

When you come home, you find Andrew standing in your room. "Really? You called mom? Don't try and deny it, I saw."

"I did, OK? Now move, I have to get changed."

"OK, I'll move, but I hope you know--I texted the footballers the picture of you from my office." He smiles, and your jaw drops. "They sent you this." He tosses you a bottle. "Drink it." And he leaves.

Whatever it is, it isn't important right now. You need to decide whether or night you're gonna put that diaper back on.
