Goblin bandits!

It is still early in the day, but due to the unseasonably warm weather, or perhaps because you've been stomping around on foot in some incredibly heavy armor (why did you choose to have it encrusted with jewels?), you decide to take a moment to rest at the next shady tree you come across.

As luck would have it, you spot one up ahead as you're approaching a narrow bend in the road. It's a very large, old tree near a small outcropping of rocks.

And if it weren't for your helmet's complete lack of peripheral vision, the sunlight shining on your armor and reflecting right into your eyes, or any of the many other excuses you'll come up with later when you have to explain what happened, you would have seen the band of six goblins lying in wait for someone to rob.
