Chapter 16 by reaper13
How do the students react when they learn of the 2nd White girl Wednesday.
The opposition is outraged
When news of a 2nd white girl Wednesday being organized become public, the opposition side screams outrage.
“The 1st white girl Wednesday was already and outrage, now you are going to permit it again? You can’t be serious!” James yelled at Eve in the middle of the school halls.
“Students have been asking for it, James. As student body president I have to give them what they ask for.” Eve calmly answers.
“And what if they ask for asbestos in their lunches. Will you then give them that too?” James replies.
Eve rolls her eyes and says, “Don’t say such things James, they are unbecoming of you.”
“Fine then, we’ll have a protest outside the building where they hold it.”
“James!” Eve says angrily. “The students are promised anonymity during white girl Wednesday. If your people start taking pictures of them and reveal who is all going I, not only will that make the oppose party look bad, but I am going to have to take action against.”
James takes a step back. All this time Eve had never raised her voice or looked so angry at anyone.
“Fine.” He says. “We’ll protest on campus instead. That way we won’t have to worry about people taking pictures of participants despite orders not to.”
Eve relaxes and says, “Thank you for understanding.” Then walks away.
As Eve is walking towards the library she sees Sylvie walking up ahead.
“Perfect timing.” Eve thinks, and starts walking a bit faster to catch up with Sylvie.
“Hey there.” Eve says when she comes walking next to Sylvie.
Sylvie looks to where the voice comes from, then seems surprised to see it’s Eve.
“Eve? What are you doing here?” Sylvie asks.
“Just saying hi to a friend. I am still your friend, right?” Eve says.
“Yeah, I just … I thought you were avoiding me.”
Eve takes a deep breath and says, “Last time we spoke, you were quite upset. I figured you didn’t want to speak to me any more since then. That’s also why I chose to send flowers instead of bringing them myself. I didn’t want there to be a scene in the hospital.”
Sylvie sighed. “Eve, I was emotional. I didn’t … I meant what I said, but I didn’t mean to accuse you for being an authoritarian or something.”
“How about we forget about it and organize a girls night out. Just you, me, Christine and feel free to ask Lorena too.” Eve suggests.
Sylvie looks at Eve with surprise. “You don’t mind?”
“You love her, right?” Eve asks. “Then you shouldn’t keep her a secret from us. I’m sure Christine would love to meet her too.”
Sylvie smiles and says, “Alright. I’ll make the arrangements.”
“Great.” Eve says and gives Sylvie a hug before leaving.
Where is Sylvie taking Eve for girls night out?
