"Where'd you go, C?" Faith asked, trying to distract from her near suicide attempt.

"My bosses wanted to talk to me. Let's go see Xander."

"They want me to what?"

"Spread the control. ANd enjoy it while you can. Like the prphecy said, less debauchery. Not none. There's something big coming, though it won't be for a few years. They want you in charge."

"I'm no leader!"

"But you'll have the hive mind thing. And you'll be able to do the healing, too. They think you represent the best of humanity and they like the way you always stick to things. They also think you can inspire humanity the way you did Buffy so often."

"I can't beleive this. Cordy, are you okay?"

Cordelia was staring at him, unblinking. "Oh, wow. I think... I think they're removing my immunity. They said they wanted me in the hive mind. I guess this was the only way."

Finally she fell to her knees.
