The Jamzooms

Adam felt a little puzzled as he walked with Linda and saw the Jamzooms off in their cab. "That wasn't very long and it wasn't even much about business."

"Yes, but you did make an impression. These things are important. And speaking of important things -- how long is that commerical shoot going to take?"

"It's done."

"You are joking ... ?"

"Not at all. I've never seen Helmut Nylands so euphoric. Linda ... you were a little short with my secretary just now. We need to be nicer to her. She was a lot of help on the commercial."

"Really? ... Believe me, Adam, I have every intention of being nice to your Gogo."

"Good. Just act on it once in a while. What are you up to with this New Vavavavuma project?"

"Why, Adam, I don't know what you mean."

"You're too complicated a person to just do something because it's good."

"It also happens to be convenient," Linda admitted. "That project was up in limbo, going nowhere, and this city is always looking to boost its diversity. A Mastonesian community will really stand out."

Adam shook his head in wonder. "You're pretty coldblooded, you know that?"

She patted his arm. "Not always, dear. Not always ... Listen, I would love to linger with you, but I have promises to keep. But we will talk more about being nice to your Gogo, don't worry."

Adam watched Linda take her limousine back to the Tower, then consulted his watch and got out his phone.
