"I appreciate you asking, but I'm not like all the other skanks at this party. I didn't come here to hook up with a random guy I just met," she tells you, blowing you off.
"Who said anything about wanting to hook up with you Jennifer? All I asked was if you wanted some companionship," you tell her, starting to get annoyed (perhaps unreasonably so) at the way she was turning down your offer to her.
"I don't know how dumb you think I am, but I have been around the block enough to know that when a guy says that, it's usually just as a means to try and get some later, so my answer is still no," you tell her as she blows you off again, angrily sipping her drink as she takes out her phone to text someone.
You hadn't had a lot of success at this party yet, and you weren't about to go home without having some, so you decide to change your course with J-Law and try one more time before giving up for good.
"I know you shot me down Jennifer, and that's okay. But it looks like your drink is getting a little low, and I would really love it if you let me get you another one," you tell her, making eye contact with her to let her know that you are being serious.
"You don't know when to take a hint, do you?" she shoots back at you, now becoming as annoyed with you as you already are with her, and not noticing you grab her glass and take it to the drink table, anyway.
