Your meeting with Mom and Dad...

You finish the baked chicken parm that your mom made for dinner in record time, and your parents tell you to come downstairs after you run to the bathroom.

You come down and sit in the living room across from your dad while your mom finishes up in the kitchen...

"So the big Two-Oh is coming up soon," James says...

"Yeah, crazy to think it's only 2 weeks away" you say back to him as you reflect on your past 20 years....

"So we were thinking about you John" your dad says, "and we think that 20 years deserves something special... A special gift if you will..." your dad says as your mom walks in...

"Yes dear, we think that for your 20th birthday we should show you how much we love you... Now hear us out on this..." Kate says...

You nod and look at them and you can tell they are about to drop a bomb. Are they going to ask you to move out? Are they getting you a car? Are they paying for a bachelor's degree?...

Luckily you don't have too long to think before your mom chirps up...

"John, if it's something you would be interested in..." she takes a deep breath and looks at your dad... "We'd like to give you a birthday you will remember for the rest of your life..."

You look at them confused...

"Your father is going to get a hotel for the night. During that time, I have agreed to show you what it is to have a girlfriend..."

Your heart sings and drops at the same time. This is your MOM they are talking about... What does she mean by girlfriend?

"Oh..." is all you manage to get out...

"Yes I know it comes as a shock, but I really don't want you to miss out on having a relationship, and I hope that our night will inspire you and give you some confidence to go out and pursue a girlfriend of your own..." your mom says...

"The only stipulation is your grades and graduation. Deal is off if you don't graduate and pass your finals. Period" says your dad.
