"Oh, yes," Cara says. "Dr. Cutler from OB/GYN. DeLoria Cutler. M.D.-midwife? I think she's placed several of the volunteers. And Victoria Stone, Brenda talks to her a lot."

Victoria Stone was on your hospital's board of directors. This went all the way to the top.

"I only met Ms. Stone once," Cara says. "But she was so nice to me. She said she looked forward to congratulating me personally when I finished my internship term. And she was so beautiful, I mean.
