Jake felt resentful of the jinn's trickery. It hadn't told Jake anything about these laws before he had asked for his wish. If he had known about the limited wishes he got, Jake probably would have asked for something much more permanent.

"No", Jake said sulkily. "I brought you here with the recipe I made, and you won't leave until I'm satisfied."

"Really?" the jinn said.

Its voice sounded emotionless, but there were hints of unending **** behind it. The hovering black silhouette approached Jake, gliding forwards in the air. Jake could nearly feel the malice that it emanated in pulses.

"You will never escape", it hissed.
