Feel out the situation

You have a pretty good idea how this world works: you doubt its coincidence that just about every woman on TV, and also Amy, are pregnant at the same time. But you want to catch up on what's going on closer to home, and Amy is a bit of a case in point.

You try to start casual. Well, casual for this new world. You put your hand on Amy's swollen belly. "I've lost track, how far along are you now?" you ask over the quiet chugging of the milking machine.

"Oh, about five months," she says with a grin. "Do you remember the barbecue Chris and I had back then? I'm sure that was when I got knocked up this time around."

"Oh yeah," you say, faking it. "Any idea who the father is?"

Amy gives you a strange look. "That's an odd question... I never thought about who the father of any of my kids were after the first. But it must have been either you, Chris, or George."

The way that Amy casually mentions that you could be the father, or that she isn't entirely sure who the father could be, has you excited. You move your hand downwards, caressing Amy's belly as you move it towards her legs. And then you remember with surprise: "What, your brother George?"

"Yeah, you remember George," says Amy. "I mean, you three were the only guys there, and you all did take turns trying to get me pregnant. Don't you remember?"

"Right, sorry" you say, bluffing your way along, "I must not be entirely awake yet. How many times do you think he might have gotten you pregnant?" you ask, your hand reaching the join of her yoga-pants. Amy spreads her legs to give you better access.

"There's the one where he was definitely the father," Amy says, "and after that he might be the father on a few more. I definitely took some genetic therapy treatments to help make sure there weren't any problems with any of my sprogs," she says.
