Exploring Pallet Town

Taking in the small town of Pallet, you note that, same as usual, there are only three buildings in this entire town. ‘Town’, you thought, was an overstatement. Aside from the misnomer of a name, you do have a nice short walk to the beach if you wanted to go lay in the sand. A short walk from your front door is the lab that Professor Oak works out of. Other than your family, who apparently had owned this land some time before the professor had even bought property down here, the Oaks were the only other family you grew up with. Their house was right behind the lab, nearer to the edge of the tree line.

A light breeze blows and the rustle of leaves can be heard as the trees sway. You smile as you take a few steps out and enjoy the breeze blowing under your skirt and through your hair. As you bask in the fresh air of a new day, you contemplate what you’d like to do.

To the north was the tall grass you had always been warned not to go in, unless you had a Pokemon. Of course, this always made you curious. Otherwise, you could always go talk to Blue’s sister and see if her brother is around. You always had a healthy rivalry with him, and his sister often loved to give you any information that could make you show him up. Of course, he’s done his fair share of that even when you did have that information, unfortunately.

You sigh and brush your hair out of your face as the breeze dies down a bit. Of course, you could always run straight to the lab, perhaps Blue hasn’t even made it there yet, and he’d be out of luck since you’d get first pick of the new Pokemon that Professor Oak had promised to give the two of you.
