Chapter 44 by Funatic Funatic

What happens next?

1 hour later Tracer boards her flight.

Tracer walked through the security, she only needed to quickly show her Overwatch card for the security personal to ask now further questions. Little time later she was aboard the plane and sat down at the next free seat she found. She paid no mind towards the other passengers as she closed her eyes and massaged her temples.

After Johnathan had left her she had spent the remaining hour searching for something that resembled good tea. She had found several shops that had sold tea, but they were either completely packed with customers or the tea had tasted like dishwater.

A familiar voice teared her out of her thoughts. “Well this is a huge coincidence.” Tracer looked towards her left. In the neighbouring seat, still towering over her, sat Johnathan. In fact, as Tracer now noticed, the whole plane was completely occupied by the TP members.

“I really wonder how you got a ticket for this plane.” Tracer’s eyes darted back to Johnathan, who had taken of the sunglasses and his green eyes met hers. “I paid a lot of money so the club could have its privacy, luckily you look like a member anyway.” He said. “Well, minus the cap.”

Tracer was thinking about leaving the plane to escape this awkward situation but the sound of starting engines killed that thought in its tracks.

“This really is a huge coincidence.” She said quietly. “Nothing more, so please keep my secret, okay?”

“Of course,” he looked almost offended. “I manage an international pervert club, do you really think I can’t keep secrets?”

Tracer smiled, now she knew that Johnathan was no bad person, pervert yes, but he had no evil intentions so she was able to relax a little. “Besides.” He added, “I could never betray my favourite hero, which is something I don’t just say because I love the way your ass looks in those yellow pants of yours.”

Tracer blushed, she had got complimented on her looks a lot the past months but rarely had it been that blunt.

‘Wait a second.’ She thought, ‘didn’t I read a very similar sentence not too long ago?’

Yes, she did, in an e-mail Athena had redirected to her, with a rather sizable donation. The e-mail that caused her to go out on that fateful day. The mail that, albeit indirectly, had started everything. “Hey, Johnathan.” Tracer said and looked up “Long shot but you wouldn’t have happened to….”

Tracer never got to finish her question as she heard a scream from the cockpit followed by all the screens in the plane to black out, only to be reactivated seconds later.

What or Who is on the screens?
