Chapter 19
by Manbear
Does Dr. Baxter allow himself to descend into this new folly?
Yes, time passes (very) pleasantly
Sir Williard,
Several days have passed since I last added to this letter, in that time I have been most admirably entertained by my host and her family. I have yet to meet Lord Peach, but the rest of the Peach family has been most accommodating, spending time to answer my questions and show me the wonders of their home. The daytime hours have passed very pleasantly in the company of Peach, Amber, Hunter and of course Lady Peach herself, and the nighttime visits from Miss Peach and Lady Peach leave me profoundly satisfied, although in the morning I have to face the man I have become in the mirror.
In spite of the doubts I have about cuckolding Lord Peach and dishonouring of his daughter, I cannot regret my decision to accept the invitation to sojourn in this fantastic place. Yesterday I was taken on a marvelous expedition into the untamed hills that surround their estate. We rode up along a ridge-line on the backs of Rocephants with an escort of turbaned servants in white tunics and baggy leggings and a a squad of five grim-faced Gurkhas running alongside. Hunter and Lady Peach rode the first rocephant with Miss Peach and myself on the second giant beast, these great quadrupeds are the size of Indian elephants but even tougher and faster than their Earth counterparts. The primary difference between the two domesticated giants is that unlike the utilitarian trunk of the elephant, the rocephant has a large plow-shaped proboscis perhaps six feet in length with a hooked blade at the tip that could easily eviscerate a man. Both Hunter and myself carried aetherrifles, even with our escort of grim looking Gurkhas, Rajah is a dangerous place.
I cannot begin to describe the wonders I have seen in these native forests while traveling on the rocking platforms close to ten feet off the ground, trees larger and thicker than any ever documented on our planet. Vibrant flowers the size of my hand that hang like chains of red, orange and yellow decorations from the moss covered limbs high above the trail. The trees, like the flowers are ancient giants that have grown undisturbed for centuries, I could easily recognize the lumawood tree because of its phosphorescence, but Miss Peach drilled me on a half-dozen or so other common trees and the vines that hang from their broad branches.
I got my first good look at a chromato-swan on one of these trips flying low in the valley beneath us. From above I was able to approximate with confidence the bird's wingspan at between ten and fifteen feet. The most spectacular feature of this alpha-predator of the skies is the luminescence of its feathers, the swan I saw was mostly white but with an iridescence that sparkled with a rainbow of colours.
The excitement of the trip came when we passed through the outskirts of a troop of Arachnirilla, Miss Peach pointed out the webs high above us in a grove of lumawood and leaned from her side of the rocephant to squeeze my upper arm.
"Be ready with the rifle, Dr. Baxter." She told me as we heard the challenging cries of the tree-dwelling primates, "I have no desire to be taken by one of those things, dragged off, webbed to one of those swaying treetops and be ravished by those beasts." I thought perhaps that she was teasing me, but before we had passed safely through their territory our party was pelted with a barrage of branches and large coconut-like lumanuts. Several of the darker adolescent 'rillas (I am told that the males have dark fur that lightens as they age, while the smaller females remain golden-furred for life) dropped to within thirty yards of us screaming animalistic challenges. Each of the primates was as tall as I, but with long muscular limbs broad chests and scarlet-coloured erections that I estimate to be more than a foot long. If those beasts closed with us, the males of our party would have little chance against their claws and fangs, and God help any females that fell into their clutches. I followed Hunter's lead as he fired off his aetherrifle rapidly five or six times. He dropped several of the boldest creatures and, while I missed the ones I was shooting at, the explosions of bark sent the savage beasts fleeing for the treetops. Miss Peach was delighted with my success although she chided me gently for my soft-heartedness; apparently she thought that I had deliberately missed to scare off the raiders without harming them.
I confess my lord, that I accepted her admonishment without making any attempt to correct her misconception, there is a profound stimulating effect for a man when a beautiful young woman gazes at him with this kind of unadulterated admiration. When we returned from the expedition and retired to our rooms to change for dinner, Miss Peach slipped into my room and what followed was a most energetic demonstration of her gratitude. I will spare you the specific details of this short and wild coupling, but suffice it to say that according to her, at least some of the graphic accounts of young maidens captured by arachnirillas are all too true.
I found that the act of fighting off the ape-like assailants and driving off the ravaging beasts before they could drag Miss Peach's **** body off into the forests to **** for their pleasure to be most stimulating. On this planet a man must fight for what he wants and if the tender flesh of a woman is the prize, then so much better is the reward. More even that first night in my room, my taking of the lovely young woman must be best described as abrupt and demanding. I used my superior strength and weight to overwhelm her pinning her to the wall of my chambers and roughly impaling her sex on my member as her legs flailed behind me. Before you think too poorly of me Lord Johnson please understand that Miss Peach was more than willing to let me use her without any of the customary gentleness a woman of her standing deserves; in fact as I took her, she squirmed in my grasp and called me 'beast' and 'monster' pretending (I believe) that I was one of those monstrous spider-apes forcing her with my mighty scarlet rod.
We were late to dinner, but thankfully if any member of the Peach household divined the reason for our tardiness they were too polite to comment on it.
This morning I am to ride with Hunter in his gyrocopter to see a even wider expanse of the surrounding mountains.
Does anything interesting happen on this flight?
