Bothered on the subway.

Kennedy runs out the door and down the block and a half to the subway station. She pushes past people as she rushes down the escalator and through the turnstile. There's a train there with its doors open and she bolts through them, just barely noticing the right name on the overhead sign as she rushes in. As the doors close and the train jerks into motion she breathes a sigh of relief.

The train is about half-full of commuters, which is typical for this time of the morning, so there are plenty of seats available. She decides to take one.

A moment later a man in a brown overcoat comes up and pushes into her. She'd deliberately taken the aisle seat so nobody could do that, but he's crowding and shoving her over.

"Do you mind?"

"Shut up and shove over, lady."

He lifts his hand partway out of his pocket, revealing a short length of sharpened steel. Kennedy slides over and glowers at him.

"Now, here's how this is going to work. I'm going to sit next to you and you're going to reach your hand in and stroke what you see."

"It isn't a kitten, is it?"

"Nope, it's a rat."

"And if I say no?"

He flashes the blade again.

Get rid of this guy for me.

Let's see what he's offering first.

That's sick!

You do that, and I'll get rid of him.
