Love at the Lake I

You made a long detour back to your castle passing green hills and vast fields. You rode your horse slowly while guiding Faith on her leash. Lili and you enjoyed the peaceful scenery and each others company.

Lili told you about her sheltered life and as you neared your estate she pointed to a clearing in the woods. "Garrick, there is a wonderful lake in this direction. When I was young I often sneaked out to meet up with my friends Murron and Jaina. We loved to swim and play in the clear water."

You let your horses drink some water at the lake before binding Faith's leash to a tree.

"Garrick, why don't you bind your horse to the tree, too?" Lili wondered.

"This mare is called Gloria. I care for her and feed her myself everyday and there is now a bond between us. As long as you show affection and treat your horse well, spending time with her, sharing your happiness and troubles, she will reach out to you and see you as kin. Gloria has accompanied me to war facing **** but she never shied any of my commands because of her trust in me." you explained slapping your horse gently across the backside and see her moving off into the woods.

"You mean your horse can understand you if you tell her stories?" Lili asked unbelieving.

"I don't think horses can understand what you tell them, but they are able to sense your mood." you took Lili's hand into yours and moved with her towards the lake, "Come we are here to enjoy the water. It has been years since I last took a bath in such a beautiful lake."
