Chapter 11 by SkyDreamer SkyDreamer

Do you agree to his GAME?

No, you take the forfeit

"Ehh, I think I'll pass," you tell him apologetically. "I don't really wanna be drunk on my own, or sober on my own with a drunk, for that matter. Plus, we can lose money in these GAMEs too, right?"

He looks a little disappointed, but shrugs. "That's fair. Don't worry about it."

Glad to see he didn't mind you chickening out, you hit the NO PLAY button on your GT screen. It asks you to confirm if you're sure, and you confirm that you are. Once you've done this, the screen changes tabs to the GAME Stats page, which displays the OUTCOME, the pending consequences of the GAME: one glass of cider to drink before it'll be satisfied, it seems.

Adrian walks over to the cupboard, returning with two glasses in hand. "I hear there's some kind of magic that compels us to obey the OUTCOME, so I guess there's no way to cheat the system. Here." He pours a glass full as he speaks, before handing it to you, and moving on to pouring his own glass.

You take hold of the glass somewhat apprehensively. You know it's probably not enough to get you overly drunk, but you've been known to lose inhibitions quite quickly with even just being tipsy. You look back to Adrian and see him holding up his own full glass.

"Welp, cheers!" he grins, clinking glasses with you, before bringing the cup to his lips and tipping it back, beginning to pour it down his throat in one go.

Before you realise it, you're following his lead, feeling the cold press of the glass against your lips. You still feel apprehensive, but you can't seem to bring yourself to hesitate. It's like you're compelled to drink this, and drink it now!

As the glass tips back, you can feel the burn of the **** as it starts running through your mouth and into your throat. It has a fairly pleasant taste, at least compared to your past experiences with ****, the tang of the apples mixing in with the fermented aftertaste.

Neither of you stops until your glasses are empty, pulling them away from your mouth with a gasp once they are. You can feel your head start to swim, though you still manage to notice your GT buzz in your other hand, as the consequence switches from pending to fulfilled.

You lean back in your seat, feeling a pleasant fog envelop your brain, making all of your worries seem to fade into the background. You can see why people do this so often, you think.

You look up at Adrian and giggle. "Well, that wasn't as bad as I expected."

He smirks back, flopping down to sit on the couch beside you. From the way he's looking at you, it feels like he has something else planned...

What does Adrian have in store next?
