Be social, or antisocial?
Stay indoors
You shake your head. There really was no merit to stepping out of your comfort zone like that, after all. Any friends you would make would be the kind who go out and make friends at parties, and then they'd just spend the rest of the year dragging you out to more of them.
Not the kind of friends you need, you think to yourself. There'll be plenty of opportunities to make friends with people who are more your speed throughout the year, on your course and in societies, after all.
So, now you need to decide what you'll do instead.
How will you spend your antisocial evening?
