Stay calm

Rose held her position and waited out the sound of the passing car. It seemed to fade in the distance, meaning it wasn’t her neighbors coming home. The redhead let out a sigh of relief, and looked over herself. Her heart was still racing and she could feel her nipples having stiffened underneath her fingers. The hand between her legs also detected subtle signs of warmth.

This was unusual, Rose wasn’t sure what was happening with this reaction. At the moment, she was essentially trapped in her neighbor's backyard. Was she finding this… exciting?

‘No, that’s not right,’ Rose thought shaking her head. Her heart was racing, and she could feel an adrenaline rush, but she didn’t think of herself as being excited. At least not THAT way.

She shook her head, and remembered why she came here. Rose looked towards the middle of the yard and saw the clothesline. She took some careful steps forward, with her neighbors towels in sight.

‘I only need one,’ she thought, as she reached for the clothespegs and unhooked them to free a towel.

Twang!

Rose heard some kind of audible ping noise, and suddenly the whole clothesline came down, dropping the towels to the grass.

“Ah!” Rose squeaked in surprise. She looked around in confusion. Clearly she had disturbed some kind of delicate balance with the clothes line and it brought all of those towels to the ground.

With an immediate need for cover, Rose picked up one of the towels and wrapped it around her body. The white bath towel covered everything Rose needed, but it still felt a little damp. Nothing a tumble in her own drier couldn’t fix, but at least Rose was covered for now.

She was now able to go back to her house, however, she glanced down at the clothes line that seemingly fell apart. Rose didn’t want to just leave her neighbors things like that, it was kind of her fault that it happened. Still, would it be worth the trouble to fix it? Rose could find a way to make things right at a later time.
