End of the night

Jon will make sure that Tom gets a ride back to town as his smell of the attacker is too much for Karen, who is in your van. You leave with Karen shortly after the search for Threessa, Tracy, and Lui is called off with the assumption that they have left. A while later, Bobby drives Amber's car back to town. Joe will get a ride back with Tom or from one of his new college girlfriends.

Bobby was going to leave Amber's car at Karen's house, near your Uncle's, but he and Amber saw lights on and Karen's stepdad's truck in the driveway. Amber and Karen told Amber's mom that they were going to be at Karen's house all night. Karen told her mom that she was at Amber's. Karen's stepdad is a dick and would wreck the lie. Bobby goes to your uncle's and parks Amber's car in the garage, in case someone might see it and recognize it. Your uncle leaves one space open for your van as at its age it needs repairs often.

Your uncle planned to be out of town but stayed home last minute. You know that things are bad when he parks his van in the yard. You hear loud snoring through his closed bedroom door and know that he drank heavily and not much will get him up. He also has a note on the office door (your bedroom when there) and on the guestroom door. The note reads: 'Kevin, Trip cancelled last minute. Art's sister (Art is a long time friend of your Uncle and until six months ago a roommate. Art is older, past forty. You think his sister is older as she has never been around since your Uncle bought this place eight years ago. Art moved 1000 miles away for a new job.) is in town to see their Mom but can't sleep there until painters leave Tuesday. She has the guestroom.'

You and Karen are sitting on the couch in the basement when Amber and Bobby arrive. You think you broke the kiss with Karen before they saw you and Karen. You thought they were Jim or Art's sister. Bobby asks whats up with your uncle's van parked like that and whose pink Honda is in your uncle's spot in the garage. You tell him that Uncle Jim is home unexpected and probably passed out piss drunk. The car belongs to a sister of a friend of Uncle Jim's. You think she is a middle age woman and she has the guest bedroom. Bobby sees that you have set up a small cooler with ice, along with rum and coke on the coffee table in front of the couch.

You ask if he and Amber want to be alone in the the basement apartment and you and Karen can go to the office/your bedroom. You leave the **** on the table for Bobby and Amber and you and Karen switch to beer in the mini fridge in your room. You find an old movie on a cable channel and soon you and Karen are back to making out. Because of her experiences earlier in the night she is falling asleep in your arms after a beer and only ten minutes of kissing. You give her the twin bed and soon fall asleep yourself on the couch in the living room.

Bobby and Amber don't stay up long or drink much either. They iced her foot that was starting to swell from kicking Josh. Amber drives with Karen to her mom's at 7 in the morning and her mom figures that the girls were at Karen's all night.
