The parade sounds fun

Julie grinned. It was a beautiful day, and she was honestly enjoying the warmth of the sun on her exposed skin. Why waste it, and the opportunity of the parade, inside the mall or running for home? This was about being seen, and having fun! Her rational self made another attempt to impose itself at that point, but she squelched it again. This was harmless!

Her mind set, she headed for the where the parade began. If she hurried, she might even catch the start of it, and then she could just work her way down, following the parade as it went. Her pace was rapid and confident, radiating a sureness of self she had never felt before. The first few people she passed were captivated, if only for the brief moment they saw her, by that aura she was projecting. This young woman, barefoot and barely dressed in a ragged T-shirt, exuded a confidence that demanded attention.

Julie was oblivious to these first few people, so caught up was she in the liberating, exhilarating feelings of how little she wore. Her skin tingled with those feelings, seeming more sensitive than usual. From the rough, warm concrete beneath her bare soles, to the bounce and jiggle of her unfettered breasts, everything felt so right. That feeling was only amplified as she felt the shirt gently brushing against her nipples, leaving them tingling as it slowly bunched together, the sun gradually warming more of her breasts as it slid. That sensation, of being so close, yet so far, from exposure, the sheer uncertainty of when it would happen, that was the most exhilarating feeling of all.

And yet, it made her stop. She was about a block and a half from the parade, the streets beginning to fill with the throngs that surround such a spectacle, and she was about to show herself freely, to anyone who cared to look. The rational portion of her brain screamed at her to stop, to come to her senses, to realize how foolish this would be. It raged against the changes in her, demanded she return to the quiet, conservative girl she was.

She stood on a precipice. And she knew her next choice would decide who she was.
