You don't want a confrontation. Try to get Belinda away and retreat.

You still need to go to the bathroom, but decide you can hold it until you get home. "Come on, Belinda. Let's go," you say, taking her arm and trying to ignore Leo.

"What?" he says, looking genuinely confused. "Did I say something wrong?"

"Sorry, Leo," Belinda says. "But I did tell you I was with Parker."

She slips her arm into yours and the two of you walk away. "I don't like the way he talks about you," you grumble.

"He doesn't mean anything by it," Belinda says. "Honestly, Leo's a sweetheart. A bit dumb and he does everything Sean tells him to without thinking, but he's a sweetheart. He only talks that way because he knows it turns me on."

"Turns you on!? It's incredibly disrespectful!" you say.

"Don't I get to decide whether it's disrespectful or not?" Belinda asks, smiling sweetly at you. "Things are different here in Rosestead than you're used to, Parker. You don't have to like it or agree with it, but be careful before you start judging people using your own standards."

You mull that over while the two of you walk out to the car.
