April helps (!?) Amber move in.

Chapter 56 by TitManDDo TitManDDo

The only thing April can do in the end is try to take a petty revenge on her daughter, and that backfires on her. In the midst of the kerfuffle, Amber comes to you and says, “It’s time for us to choose our housing for the next year.” You look at her and wait, not sure where she’s going with this. She grins happily and asks, “Would you like a roommate?”

You blink at her and ask in turn, “Can you do that?”

“Absolutely,” Amber replies, completely serious. “I thought I could, but I wanted to confirm it with the administration before I got your hopes up.” She smiles. “I’m going into my senior year and I’ve taken heavy loads all the way along, plus I have AP credits and CLEP credits, and I did that May/June term in Europe.” You remember that. The house seemed very lonely without Amber around. In retrospect, you wonder if maybe it had seemed even lonelier than it should have. “Plus, my grades are very strong. I can live wherever I want within however many miles of school as long as I give them my address. They have to formally approve it, but that’s just a rubber stamp unless something’s screwy. Mostly, they require formal approval so they can revoke it if they find out anything really bad is going on. There will be other seniors living with girlfriends or boyfriends next year; there are every year. Juniors, too, sometimes; actually, I think I could have done this this year if I’d had any reason to.”

“Well, you have every reason to now,” you agree, gathering her into your arms. “Having you living with me will make me happier than I ever thought I’d be.” You look into her eyes and say, “There is one thing.”

“Oh?” Amber asks with a sudden flash of concern.

“Your mother’s been trying to make trouble. Is there anything we should be worried about?”

Amber thinks for a moment, then says, “No, and I’m not going to give up living with my sexy man in his beautiful house for anything she does. We’ve done nothing illegal and we have no reason to be ashamed. She couldn’t convince the university we’ve done anything that required them to act. If the university approves my living with you, there’s nothing she can do about it. Maybe she can make a big noise, but she can’t do anything.

“In fact, this isn’t just about next year. Once students are approved to live in private housing for the next school year, if it’s possible for them to move right away, they’re allowed to do so. Usually, anyway. I don’t know if it’s a formal thing or just the administration turning a blind eye, but it’s an established pattern. I can move in with you before the semester’s even over. Besides all the health benefits—”

“Health benefits?” you interrupt, startled. Amber gives you a sly smile.

“Oh, I’m sure there’s lots of protein in all that nice cum you keep giving me, and lots of other good things, too. Besides babies, but let’s wait a few years on that. I look forward to having your children, but I want to get myself established first.” You nod in full agreement, and she continues, “This way, I just don’t have to deal with her anymore. I can move out and be done with it. I couldn’t have lived with her anyway once she dumped you, even if you’d never given me a second look. Once you gave me your love—no way. Just no way.”

You gather her in your arms and hold her for a long time before she says, “I should probably get going. I want to talk to housing as soon as possible to make sure I can get everything done as soon as possible, so I can move in with you as soon as possible.” You think “as soon as possible” sounds like a fantastic idea, so you give her a kiss and let her go.

Ironically, that very afternoon, April has all Amber’s stuff dumped on your front lawn—somewhat metaphorically speaking. As a public repudiation of her daughter, she decided to reject everything Amber owns. To make trouble for you—and to make it clear that Amber is your problem (as she might phrase it; you wouldn’t) now, she has all Amber’s things sent to you.

To give April credit (if that’s the right word), this does cause you a significant logistical problem. You call Amber, and when she answers, you say, “Help!” Fortunately, she’s already on her way home with the news that the university has approved her application, and she’s welcome to move in with you at her convenience. Today isn’t exactly what either of you would have called her convenience, but you manage to get everything lugged in, anyway. You have all the time in the world to put it away, and far more than enough space to do it in; and once it’s done, it’s done, with no need to worry about what will happen to Amber’s things or how you’re going to move them. In the end, April has done you a favor.

You think about sending her a thank-you card, but decide there’s no point in salting the wound.
