It takes some getting used to

After a small funeral consisting of the entire trailer park residents, Dana decided to sell her home.

As she was moving out Jenny came by. "Hi, Jenny." "Here to say goodbye?" Dana asks, keeping busy packing. "No." Jenny tries to help pack, but Dana refuses, snatching a pillow out of Jenny's hands and tossing it back. "Dana, I want you to move in with me. You still have people who care about you." "People only cared about me because they saw me as my Dad's personal fucker. And now that my Dad is dead, I'm up for grab, literally!" "Dana Conrad, you don’t believe that." Jenny said, grabbing Dana by the shoulders. "Well the won't get the chance to do anything to me, fuck 'em. Let’s leave this shit-hole. Dana leaves, lugging her box of essentials with her. Though not the way she intended it to happen, Jenny's plan worked.

With the trailer park finally out of sight, Dana felt a wave of relief wash over her. Like stepping into warm sunlight after living in a freezing climate. Dana never thought she would ride in another vehicle other than her Dad's old rusty pickup. True, Dana has ridden in Jenny's car before, but now she could enjoy it.

An hour later, Jenny pulled up into the garage, parked the car, and waited for Dana. Dana stared at the clean garage around her. Jenny's house was threatening to Dana, mainly because it wasn't her style. Dana never knew 'prim and proper' growing up on the road. "Maybe this was a bad idea." Dana said, preparing to leave the car planning on hitchhiking back to the park, only to be stopped by Jenny. "No, Dana. I'm not going to let you spend your life knowing that it could be better. Well, this is it." Dana looks at Jenny. "I'm scared." That came as a surprise to Jenny. Ever since they met, Jenny always thought of Dana to be strong and fearless. Taking hold of her, Jenny and Dana walked hand in hand into the house.
