The House

The barn looks like there will be no place to hide. A quick glance at the house shows the front door nailed shut, but maybe there is another way in, and it looks like there will be more hiding spots there. You scramble through the rain and mud, running along the side of the house to the back. There's a back door, but it's boarded shut and you give a sob of despair before you see a sliding window open a few inches just beside it. Desperately, you scramble to it, pulling it up with all your strength and sliding through, pulling it shut behind you. Gasping for breath, you try to take stock of where you are.
