The master bedroom.

Hank and Veevee walked quietly through their darkened house toward the sounds of sex they heard from the entry hall. When they got to the main hallway, it was clear the sounds were coming from the master bedroom -- Hank and Veevee's own bedroom.

Veevee gave Hank's hand an excited squeeze and led him onward. She had told Hank her fantasies of catching Gary or Lil having sex and he enjoyed hearing them, often adding imaginatively to the scene, but they had wanted to respect their son and daughter's privacy in fact. But if Gary and Bernie or Lil and (hopefully a new) boyfriend were using the master bedroom, there was no way she or Hank could help walking in on them.

"You think it's Lil or Gary?" Hank whispered to Veevee.

"Lil," she said. "With someone new. I hope."

"I bet Gary," he said.

The scent of hot, busy bodies grew stronger along with the sounds of sex. Soon it became clear that the sighs, groans, and sounds of flesh on flesh were too varied to come from a single couple.

"Double date, huh?" Hank whispered to Veevee when two distinct female voices moaned at once.

Veevee smiled and squeezed his hand.

They approached the door to the master suite. Without central air conditioning, the door had been left open to let a cross-draft blow through to cool the hot and sweaty work that was going on inside.

They stepped through the open door into the little anteroom next to the walk-in closet, and carefully looked round a corner into the bedroom proper. Soft light shone from the dimmed bedside lamps. A brighter shaft spilled from the master bathroom across the way, and the vent fan droned.

Hank and Veevee stopped, their mouths widening. There wasn't just one, nor even two young couples enjoying sex in each other's company. Six happy fornicators were spilling over the edges of their large bed.

Hank looked over at the bathroom and wondered if there were anyone more.

Veevee squeezed Hank's hand, quivering with excitement at the sexual riot that had possessed their bedroom.
