This is great, but do you know where I can find Karen?

"Why would I know where that redheaded poor white trash is? Are you queer? You can fuck my rich blonde ass here and now! Wanting that bottom feeder, that's funny", Ashley responds angrily.

"You're my friend's sister. To do anything sexy with you would break the bro-code. I wouldn't want to fuck you if you weren't Jon's sister. You're mean and crude when you're drunk! I like Karen Jones, I have for a long time!" You yell back.

Unknown to you and Ashley, Karen entered the boathouse ten minutes before you did. She is hiding in the loft. She was avoiding the advances of Tom Bradley. While she knows he is from a rich family he is just too creepy to consider as a boyfriend. She and Ashley had been on the same cheer leading squad last year and Ashley seemed positive and friendly as a squad member. Ashley must be really drunk to be talking about Karen that way, as Karen told her she has had a crush on Kevin for a long time but he doesn't seem to notice her.

Ashley is about to yell back at you when you both stop all sound as the door to the boathouse is opened. It's Tom and he is moving like a hunter stalking its prey... well, a stumbling drunk idiot looking for something. He is making a fair amount of noise.

"Where are you? You redheaded bitch! I'm ten times the man your Kevin is!" Tom yells to the darkness.

He finds a light switch and sees you and Ashley.

"She's out of your league, Kevin. I should kick your ass for trying to get her." Tom snarls.

"SHE wants me. I don't want her. You couldn't kick my ass if you brought three friends to help-wait you don't have any friends-You Asshole!! Who is this redhead hiding from you that likes Kevin?", You reply.

"I think its her."' Ashley says pointing to Karen, who is coming down the ladder to the interior dock.

"You know I like Karen you FUCKING ASSHOLE !!", you yell at Tom.

"I'll just settle for this drunken horny whore!" Tom yells back, lunging for Ashley.

His attempt to take Ashley causes her to fall in the water between the boat and the dock. The water is just over Ashley's head. Sober, she is an excellent swimmer, having set many school records at Green River City High School. Hell, the pool is named after her grandfather, Matthew Smith. He set state records, one still stands and he paid for the current aquatic complex at your high school. Drunk, however, Ashley struggles and after two bobs to the surface, goes underwater. Karen is off the ladder and looking toward the spot where Ashley last was seen. You and Tom are frozen-stunned by the event.

"Do something Kevin!!" Karen screams.

You jump into the open bay where another boat will be docked later in the fall. You swim under the dock and see Ashley on the bottom. You see her problem is that she is tangled in some old mooring lines. You pull, rip, and tug at the lines until she is free. You pull her up to the surface in front of the docked boats. Karen helps you get her on to the dock. You follow pulling yourself up on the dock.

You are greeted by chaos on the dock. Some giant guy is holding Tom while another is beating him. They are Johnson football players. Bill and Jon are looking on. Seeing the three of you on the dock Bill motions for the beating to stop and rushes to his sister's side. Karen is already holding her up by her shoulders to help her get her breath back.

Bill tells the behemoths to take the beaten piece of shit away and drop him stripped naked, bound and gagged in front of the Green River City Police Department. Write "Snitch" on his back in big letters with a Sharpie and the cops will know what to do. To you and Karen he says, "I walked in to see why the lights were on. I heard what Tom said. Jon came in when you yelled and he jumped in. I don't know what happened before that but you both saved my sister. Thanks. Enjoy the party and we owe you."

"Karen, I thought you were dating John Jenkins and not that serious about Kevin. I see I was wrong. Sorry, I say stupid stuff when I'm drunk. Thanks for saving me, Kevin." Ashley says, sobered somewhat by the recent events.
