Convince her to come to your apartment

“Why don’t you join me for a drink at my place?” You say, quickly moving your hand up her arm so that she doesn’t feel threatened. “We should celebrate our new business relationship.”

“I think I’m a little tipsy,” Katherine replies, obviously a little more than tipsy.

“Well, if you’re too drunk you shouldn’t be driving at all. You can crash at my apartment, I’ll sleep on the couch.” You make a hand sign over your heart. “Scout’s honor.”

Katherine smiles and hooks her arm through yours.

“Okay, lead the way.”

You lead her to you car and quickly engage the air drive to get out of the area. With the car on autonav you turn to Katherine and speak softly.

“I think this is going to work Katherine, I think we ca-“

“Katie,” she interrupts. “My friends call me Katie.”

You place your hand on the dark silk stocking covering her knee and return your attention to the city zipping by below. You’re tired, physically and mentally, but the prospect of sleeping with Katherine has your adrenaline flowing.

When you arrive at your small but comfortable apartment you turn on some ambient music and mix a pair of martinis. You chat with Katherine idly about her relationships and she confesses that her last one ended badly. She was with a jealous older woman and their relationship moved too fast for her, she ended it and the woman went briefly psychotic.

As you sit close to each other on the couch drinking your martinis you tell Katherine about your work, programming stuff, leaving out most of the details of your more illicit jobs. Katherine seems genuinely interested and you find yourself drawn to her wide smile and her surprisingly expressive eyes. You excuse yourself to use the bathroom and when you return you find Katherine has succumbed to the ****. She’s ****, splayed out immodestly on the white cushions of your couch.
