Stuck

You're carefully edging the car back and forth in the tiny area, gradually turning it around when you feel the rear wheels slip. With a startled gasp, you feel the car slump down on the right rear. Panicked, you rev the engine, but besides the whine of spinning wheel, nothing happens. You pause, your heart beating hard, feeling the tendrils of worry and dismay start to seep through you.

Finally calming a little you get out of the car to look. The pelting rain soaks you in an instant, you thin shirt and shorts sticking to your skin. Walking around the car you discover that the right rear wheel is hopelessly stuck in a ditch. There is no way you're getting it out without help. With a little sob of dismay you look around you, as if seeking some white knight to ride up to the rescue. You see nothing except the road and the surrounding forest and the pouring rain.

And the sky starting to darken even further. Evening is coming.
