Do you let him go?
No. It's safer to stay here.
You jump up and grab Eric by the arm.
"You can't go out there. We don't know what's going on," you tell him as you look him straight in the eyes. "Aiko's smart and capable. She's probably gone to your cabin and is safely locked in there."
Eric still looks unsure.
"Even if she isn't, she knows where you are and will be coming here to find you."
That seems to get him to relent and he pulls you in to embrace you. You hold each other for a few minutes before you suggest sitting down on the love seat.
Your own fear, held in check while you dealt with Eric, now returns and you hold onto your friend as tightly as he holds on to you.
Things are quiet for a while, but then you hear a loud commotion outside in the corridor. The sound of people running and screaming penetrates the door and you both jump up off the love seat.
You look at each other wondering what you should do when a loud banging on the door makes you jump into Eric's arms.
