I grab Aiko's hand and we run down the corridor.

"Run, Aiko!"

Aiko doesn't need any motivation as she keeps up with you as you both run down the corridor. With any luck, you caught the pirates by surprise. Hopefully, they're not very good shots but you're still expecting a blaster bolt in the back giving you inspiration to run even faster.

You see the turn at the end of the corridor, giving you hope you might get away. Suddenly your body seizes up, paralyzing you and you crash to the floor in a heap in what should be a painful impact, but you don't feel it. In fact, you don't feel anything as your body has gone numb. Just before unconsciousness takes you, you see Aiko slam into the floor next to you, also paralyzed.

Before you can force your eyes open, the first thing you notice are the aches and pains throughout your body. You can't move your arms, bound as they are behind your back. You manage to open your eyes and find you're seated on a hard seat in what appears to be a shuttle. The engine hum tells you the shuttle is in flight and you quickly find you are bound with your wrists behind you as well as bound around your ankles.
