There in the abyss, you feel yourself slipping deeper and deeper into unconsciousness. Your body feels stiff now, paralyzed by the icy contents of the needle. Fear wells up, it builds and builds until you finally manage to **** your body back into motion. All you manage at first is a small jerk, but you try again and again, getting a little more progress with each attempt.

You hear voices, but can't make out what they are saying. The first, you recognize as that of the professor. It sounds urgent, as though she is calling for someone. Shortly after, you feel a numb pressure on your chest and the tingly feel of a hand rubbing your face. A more soothing voice accompanies it. You recognize this voice. Samantha?

The voice coos at you and you feel the fear begin to drain away, and with it goes your will to combat sleep. You let the darkness take you.

You awaken to a stiffness the likes of which no one has ever felt. Your body feels as though it has been weighted down and you can't seem to muster the strength to even lift your arm. You decide instead to try and open your eyes. Your body protests even that, but fear wins out and you **** them open to the sight of a blinding light. You wince and instinctively attempt to bring an arm up, only to find that it still won't budge.

You squint and take a look down at the useless appendages to find that your entire body is covered with a sheet. Further inspection reveals that there are also straps cinched over your chest and legs to secure them in place.

Your head rolls over to the side and you see the doctor standing on the other side of the room with her back turned to you. You manage a hoarse squeaking noise to get her attention.

Even from where you're sitting you can see the doctor go rigid at the sound. She coughs into her hand and turns to you.

"Ah Mr.Doe, how do you feel?" she asks.

"Heavy..." you manage to mumble.
