You decide to help the woman, God knows you needed a little redemption. 'I can't think about that right now'. The man approached the woman, yanking her to her feet. She winced in pain, tears falling down her stained face, dirty blonde hair rustled. The man didn't have a weapon drawn, which was stupid of him it gave you an opening.
You snook out the corner making your way behind the benches obstructing the man's view. You needed to be quick for this to work. You aimed your gun at the animal, you felt a little twinge of guilt but it needed to be done. You pulled the trigger, an loud echo ran through the mall, you heard the dog let out a shriek. It was a hit on its leg. The man let out a shout "ROLF" looking toward the injured animal holding the woman by the scruff of the neck. You stepped out of cover and aimed the gun at the imposing man. "Don't make any sudden movements, and let go of the girl" you announce in a voice that is calmer than you realise.
"You'll pay for this, you bastard, I'm gonna skin you alive" he shouted at you menacingly. He tightens his grip on the girl, she whimpers in pain.
"Just let her go and we can all go on our merry way"
"Or what" he says with a terrifying confidence. You flinch at at his tone but remain firm. You let off a shot at his right leg, he lets out a sickening scream and lets go of the woman and tumbles on to the floor. The woman lays in front of him. You see him reach for his holster but your quicker you run towards him and knock the butt of the pistol against his head, knocking him out cold. You quickly rummage through his pockets.
You look over at the woman. "Can you still walk" she shakes her head. You move towards her and help her up. carefully supporting her from under her shoulder. "We need to get out of here quick, the racket we just caused must have alerted others".
