A young man

You see Vanessa cover a wince at the male voice, but put a smile on her face and accept a hug from a well built young man.

"Jason, what a surprise," she says, freeing herself from his embrace as soon as possible.

"I've been looking for you ever since school started. I heard you were pledging here so when I heard about the party I came running. I see you've got a drink. Lets go sit down and catch up."

"Actually, John just asked me to dance and I've accepted. Maybe later Jason." For the first time the young man notices you. He makes a show of looking up up and down, barely concealed scorn on his face.

"Who's this, your uncle?"

"No. John is my date," she says with a touch of chill and takes your arm, letting you lead her out of the room. You smile impassively at Jason as you leave. Once out of the room, Vanessa leans against you, hugging your arm.

"Thank you, John. Jason is someone I knew in high school, a couple of grades ahead of me. Was always after me, ever since I got tits. He was grabby, thought I should roll over to him. I think he's gross. You will dance with me, won't you John?"

You smile at her and tap her hand comfortingly, leading her into the dance room.
